Editorial standards
How each field note is made.
A study starts with the published material, then makes its interpretive choices visible. This page explains the boundary between source, analysis, and correction.
Source before interpretation
Each article cites a named primary rulebook, publisher resource, or institutional document. The linked source supports the factual frame only; it does not endorse the article’s analysis or conclusions.
Original analysis and source review
Each study connects published material to an original editorial argument. The cited sources anchor the documented rules, while the analysis explains how those rules shape play. A study does not impersonate a publisher, invent a source, or replace the reader’s access to the underlying document.
Corrections and updates
If a source changes or a study contains a material factual error, the editorial desk should review the cited material and revise the page when warranted. Readers can send correction requests to [email protected].
Independence and limits
Tabletop Field Notes is independent commentary, not official rules guidance or commercial support. It does not sell rankings, promise outcomes, or speak for any publisher, creator, or game community.
